TRAVEL

You can get to Capri by flying into Rome (Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport - FCO) or Naples (Naples International Airport - NAP).
American Airlines recently launched the first direct flights from ORD - NAP, just in time for our wedding! Flying into Naples means you can hop right on the ferry when you land, where as flying to Rome requires a bit more travel (but there are usually more direct flights and cheaper options if flying into Rome)!
Fly into Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport (FCO)
By Train and Ferry:
Upon arrival at Rome’s Airport, you can grab a taxi/uber or take the Leonardo Express train to Roma Termini station. Trains depart every 15-30 minutes and the journey takes ~30 minutes.
At Roma Termini, board a train to Naples Central Station. This is an easy and comfortable trip (with airconditioned train cars and snacks available for purchase) that we’ve done multiple times! The train takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Upon arrival at Naples Central Station, exit the station and grab a taxi to the nearby Port of Naples (Molo Beverello). There is a taxi stand immediately outside of the train station, but you may need to wait in line if it is busy. Be sure to include some buffer time before your ferry’s scheduled departure! The journey typically takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.
From the Port of Naples, take a ferry or hydrofoil to Capri. The ferry ride typically takes around 1 hour, while the hydrofoil is faster, usually taking about 40 minutes.
By Private Transfer:
You can also arrange a private transfer directly from Rome Airport to the Port of Naples, where you can catch a ferry to Capri.
